I am one of the people whose family for unknown reason converted to christianity, yet many of my relatives are still Hindus. I am proud to be a HINDU.Proud to be Indian. But I am not as concerned as you are regarding the conversion in India. Our relegion and culture survived many of horrible acts by many barbarians such as the Mughul and British. I am confident th t it will go on as long as there is life on earth. Once again i was really happy to read about the AIT was false. Even as a young boy I had trouble beleivng that theory. I am not an activist. But I will defend Hinduism with my life, if i have to. Jai HIND

Comments:  I'am a freelance television documentary director from the Netherlands. At the moment I'am doing the first research for a documentary I like to make on the changing perspectives off Indian people on Hinduism (and Sadhus) due to the changes that are taking lace in India. The 'background idea' of the documentary is that due to the 'civil revolution' the Indian middle class has grown tremendously. The big question is if this, together with the spreading of the media and education, leeds to a different perspec ive of Indian people on their religion ? And what is the impact/role of young, western tourist in this all ? To do more research I plan to go to Delhi, Rishikesh, Uttarkand, Pushkar, Dwarka, Bombay and Goa early authem this year. I hereby like to get in c ntact with people who can inform me about this subject, who can inform me about the changes that are taking place within the culture and brotherhood of Sadhus, who can inform me about the changes and the increase of (Indian and Western) religious tourism o places like Gangotri, Badrinath and Kedarnath, to the Kumbha Melas, who can inform me about the increase of western Sadhus and the impact of young western tourist on the Sadhu culture and community. Also I like to get in contact with Indian journalist, ociologist etc who are well informed on this subject and who are working and living in Delhi and/or Bombay. I like to thank all at forehand who can help me any further.

Comments:  the Jewish bible says that Abraham and Sarai went to the Middle East to escape a terrible flood that had taken place in their original homeland, at approximately the time that Dwarka sank under the sea. I think it significant that Sarai was the half sist r of Abraham and that Saraisvati was the half sister of Brahm. Sarai had a handmaiden named Hagar. Ghaggar was a rributary of the river Saraisvati. It would not surprise me if the tombs of Abraham and Sarai at Hebron, Israel are also those of Brahm and Saraisvati. There are even those who think that Jerusalem's Temple mount could be the resting place of Krishna. There is no doubt. The Yadavas founded ancient Israel. The real name of the Jews, Yahuda, seems to suggest this. See the article at www.viewpoint.com. It would be good if Israel and India could realize that they are related. Both are under the threat of the Moslems. An alliance would benefit both nations.

Comments:  You wrote "Mahabharat" instead of "Mahabharata", and you wrote "Dwarka" instead of "Dvaraka". I know that modern Indians speaking Hindi & such modern languages do not pronounce the inherent short "a" vowel finally and medially. But to have proper respect for the Sanskrit language, when writing Sanskrit words in transliteration, please always incl de the inherent "a" vowel. This is not your colloquial Hindi. This is Sanskrit!
