Comments:  Wow! I have just read some of the information on this site. I have come to the conclusion that the Indians (also North American Indians) had no understanding of how Europeans had a great lust for wealth and power. These people did not want to make war with anyone......The British were especially brutal to all they thought were there enemy.....That is what they did! They went out to many nations and tried to control them...Much the same as the Germans did in WW2. The Germans killed half the population of Europe. It takes a better man or woman than me to understand. Why?

(Editor’s Note: Thank you very much for sharing your thoughts on the lust and brutality of Europeans. The British were the most successful pirates of modern times. There is no glory in avarice and greed and in conquering other people’s property and land even in God’s eyes. It is too tragic that today the Americans have not learnt from the ruinous and disastrous experience of the British Empire. Warm regards).

Comments:  Hi, I happened to see your website today. I wish to introduce my spritual guru Swami Ram Swarup, founder of Veda Mandir, Yol Camp, Himachal, India. He has devoted his life to Vedas and spreading vedic knowledge. Please visit his website www.vedmandir.com. He is an authority on Vedas and vedic culture. Please visit his website and let me know if you need any more information. He has written many books which can benefit people interested in Vedas. There are many misconceptions about Vedas and Vedic culture, and Swamiji is working hard to convey the correct picture of Vedic religion. Best Regards, Shailesh.

Comments:  Found this very interesting and thought you could add it to your site. In a historic religious event that occurred on Saturday, May 31, 2008, eight Americans were formally welcomed into the ancient tradition of Sanatana Dharma (Hinduism) in a sacred initiation (diksha) ceremony at the Hindu Temple of Nebraska. In a related historical development, Ms. Heather "Tulasi" Mortensen was awarded brahmana initiation during the same ceremony, and nvested with a sacred thread. This thread-giving ceremony (known as upavita-samskara in Sanskrit) represents the very first time in world history that a non-Indian woman has been awarded such a sacred thread. Now you can now see the video of this event on Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=otcGhbjSpp4

(Editor's Note: Thank you very much once again for contributing this very interesting link to an inspiring and historic event taking place in the West. I have added it to the chapter under Links. Warm regards).

I thought I would mention that in the four Southern Indian States viz., Tamilnadu, Kerala, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh, a 60 year cycle is observed. The Solar years have names, 60 in all and thereafter, it starts from number 1 again. It goes like this: Prabhava, Vibhava, Pramodoota..... and so on. I thought that would be significant too. Ambu.

It is a wonderful, comprehensive and well researched work. Through the book I was directed to your website. Normally, I browse many websites but never bother about putting in a note to the website author. In this case, I could not restrain myself. I have become hooked on it since you have given an enormous amount of information. The organization is superb. I loved your website; it is truly a revelation to read what is in there. I hope you continue this highly commendable and noble work you have been doing. Best regards, Satish.

Comments:  Dear Ms. Londhe, I was raised a Christian, but after much spiritual wrestling and research I became a Hindu. I have been visiting your website for many years now. You have absolutely no idea the magnitude of your service to all especially to Non-Indian Hindus. Your website is an oasis in the ‘comically rapture-ready, evangelically arrogant red states’ of this country. Sanatan Dharma is the language of my heart and soul. I admire Hinduism for its tolerance and its freedom. Freedom to believe in any image of the Divine that we choose and tolerance for all paths that leads to the same summit (God). Hinduism is remarkably free of rigid dogmas that often plague Semitic faiths and organized religions. In these dogmatic and narrow minded traditions, believers are pitted against non-believers in an endless battle for world domination and spiritual imperialism. Even today these so called 'holy' scriptures are often employed to justify naked and blatant aggression against non-believers. May God bless you with long life and courage to come out with greater work of research including more books to serve the human community around the globe. Thank you. Respectfully, Dave.

(Editor’s Note: Thank you very much for the fine and beautiful sentiments of appreciation regarding this website as well as for sharing your profound wisdom and insight about the beauty and uniqueness of Hinduism. It is words such as yours that has kept this research going for more than a decade. They are truly appreciated. Warm regards).

Comments:  Dear Madam, Thank you for this wonderful and inspiring website. India has given the world everything regardless of whether they admit it. In fact, people like Hitler were so obsessed that he set up a special force to collect occult items and literature. On the basis of such books they managed to make a bell using Xerum 525 (info on this chemical and mysterious bell on websites) which was supposed to utilize the quantum energy. I strongly feel that these theories have been copied from our ancient books. I feel that the births of Krishna and Balaram happened with the aid of some such technique along with mind control and not the regular way. I feel that there is something more to the story of the births of the Pandavas too, including Karna who were born when Kunti said a particular mantra to evoke the deity. The Kauravas too were 100 and may not have been born just in a kind of laboratory the way we understand it. Even if the Mahabharata is allegorical as some people claim, the fact remains that they had knowledge of which we can only dream. Hari Om.

Comments:  Making of a movie by Ashutosh Gowariker has really opened an interesting can of worms. Now historians have to decide who is the mother of which of the Mughal emperors. Shamefully the British could not just give us the correct history of the rulers from whom they took over the reins of our country. But they know to distort the facts - look into wikipedia under Governor General Mountbatten and it says that Indians on the whole are to blame for a hurried partition which led to death of millions in the sub-continent. But the British themselves have got a different story, most of the documents prior to the World War II are being revealed to the public. This is a link to the BBC article http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/south_asia/6926464.stm, which does not really agree with the story we had been told and still appears in Mr Mountbattens' wiki page. I am really worried because these days the same forces which have ruled over Indian sub-continent are in Afghanistan and Iraq. God knows what history they are going to teach. It is really difficult to understand how we are to believe these rogues who go by a 'Gregorian' calendar - check out its inception and how ridiculous it is on wiki itself.

(Editor’s Note: Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the sad state of written history of India. No doubt that though the British are to be blamed for distortion of our history to suit their colonial agenda, but after Independence our own historians have not done an exemplary job either. Our left leaning so called ‘eminent historians’ of (JNU type) were motivated by political considerations, and hence restored to distorting the history of India so as to fit in certain ideological and religious framework. For the last 60 years it has became fashionable to write ‘politically correct’ history. Mughal emperor Akbar is glowingly referred to as Akbar, The Great in our textbooks, even when he (as well as Shah Jahan) had 5,000 women in his harem. Is that being progressive and modern? Not to mention the fact that on February 24, 1568, Akbar (the great) called for brutal massacre of 30,000 defenseless Hindus of Chittorgarh, Rajasthan who had refused to convert to Islam. Even when stark evidence stares at you in the face, like exquisitely carved, broken stone Vedic temples and defaced statues, Islam/Christianity are still presented as progressive and emancipatory religions in our textbooks. The Americans who (have apprenticed under Imperial Great Britain) are basically the same force and will do exactly what the English did to the Indian sub-continent. The British claimed that their colonial rule was a mission to 'civilize the heathens' in India and today the Americans want to 'spread democracy' in Iraq. It is the same old wine, in new bottle story all over again. Refer to Prince Andrew rebukes US on Iraq - http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/7227627.stm and to article on the new movie - Putting Jodha Akbar on trial - http://www.ibosnetwork.com/newsmanager/templates/template1.aspx?articleid=21118&zoneid=5 . Comments:  Dear Madam, I am very much impressed with your website and pray that you continue to improve on the wide range of topics covered here. I hope your selfless and tireless efforts will bring exceptional results and awakening among Hindus. Today Indian secularism means favoring the minorities at the cost of the Hindu majority. Andhra Pradesh Christian Chief Minister Samuel Reddy and his government has offered sops to Christians, a subsidy (much like the Haj offered to Muslims) to visit their religious places in Israel. A corrupt Congress government wants to woo minorities ahead of the elections next year. This move speaks volumes of the degeneration and deterioration of Indian politics.

(Editor’s Note: Thank you very much for your thoughtful words of appreciation for this website and for sharing the information regarding the subsidy to Christians in India. Only in India do corrupt and power greedy politicians and Hindu-baiting media coddle and grovel in the front of its minority; a minority which is rapidly increasing its numbers through unethical conversion efforts. In the US /Western nations as well as Islamic countries minority is always at the mercy and goodwill of its Christian/Islamic majority. Can you imagine the US government giving subsidies to its Muslim and Hindu minorities to visit their holy land in Arabia and India? The concept of Secularism has become a pathetic mockery in India today. The less said the better. Warm regards).

Comments:  Dear Madam, Thank you for this fabulous website. It would be nice if there was a 'search' facility in order to immediately go to any section for reference. I recently read a wonderful article which I would like to share: Atomic theory is an ancient science. The earliest record of it can be found in Vedic texts from India which are many thousands of years old. Legend has it that the Vedic civilization was highly advanced. The sages that oversaw its development, through their mystic insight and deep meditation, discovered the ancient symbols of spirituality: Aumkara and Swastika. They also discovered many scientific principles that they applied to develop a highly advanced technology. They gave the atom its Sanskrit name "Anu". While the technical achievements of this ancient civilization have been forgotten the archetypal symbols of spirituality have maintained their eminence in our consciousness. Now, thanks to advances in modern atomic theory, the atomic basis of these divine symbols can be appreciated. Western theories of the atom took shape in the 18th and 19th century. At the beginning of the 19th century, John Dalton theorized that an atom was an indivisible particle of an element. However, after the electron was discovered in 1897, and then the proton several years later, the atom model was revised. In 1909, Ernest Rutherford showed that atoms were mostly empty space, revising the model of an atom to a tight positive nucleus containing the protons and neutrons with electrons around it; by 1913, Danish physicist Neil Bohr envisioned a planetary arrangement in which the electrons orbited the nucleus at different energy levels. The current way of describing an electron is a model called the charge cloud model/quantum mechanical model/orbital model. This model based on the idea of Heisenberg's Uncertainty Principle, which states that we do not know the precise location or the velocity of any given electron. The model uses indistinct and overlapping "probability clouds" to approximate the position of an electron. Where a cloud is dense, the probability of finding an electron in that vicinity is low. In this model, each electron energy level is denoted by numbers that take concentric shells as suggested by the Bohr model because there are overlaps in the ordering of the energy levels. - For the rest article refer to the chapter Visitor's email.

(Editor’s Note: Thank you very much for your kind words of appreciation for this website and for contributing an interesting article on atomic theory as an ancient science. Due to space requirements and aesthetics the rest of the your message has been posted in the chapter – Visitor’s emails. Please refer to it. Due to technical difficulties the ‘search’ option has been taken down but it will be up in the near future. My sincere apologies for the inconvenience to you and all other readers. Warm regards).

Comments:  I totally agree with you. In fact I have even heard a particular famous Swami adding Shakespeare quote in the middle of a Ramayana katha! I was quite shocked (Did he maybe think that would give him or perhaps the Ramayana greater credibility?!) I would like to share some thoughts with you: I have read that Moses and then even Mohamed venerated a holy man whom they called the 'green man' or Al-Khedr or Al-Khidr. Apparently no-on knew his identity. Some say he was a Prophet and some say he was a Wali. But it seems his holy shrine is there at a place called Kadaragama which is supposed to be named after him. He used to go there to worship Skanda. Muslims also venerate this place. From this it does appear that this mysterious person who is their venerated sage was obviously a Hindu probably named Kedar or similar name. In ancient times all cultures used the Dhatura (aka Brugmansia or Belladona) plant for a variety of purposes including having visions etc. These were to be taken as per the prescription given by expert shamans, witchdoctors etc. But if taken incorrectly they were toxic and poisonous. In Jordan the ancient Nabataea’s worshipped 'Dhat Ras' and 'Allat' as a female energy/essence and even constructed temples. I read some of Sita Ram Goel's articles mentioning that Allat was the pre-Islamic deity in Arabia. Also, that no-one seems to know how Muhammad got his name! Because no-one had it before him and it is neither Arabic nor a fully Sanskrit name. Then I read the symptoms of Dhatura abuse and it quite tallied with the symptoms that Muhammad had, such as going red in the face and breathing hard, becoming wild and uncontrollable etc. (He was believed to be suffering from epileptic fits.) In Sanskrit, one of the names of Dhatura is 'Mahamohi'. I think the implications are clear.

(Editor’s Note: Thank you very much for sharing your thoughts on the fascinating ancient history of Arabia and its Vedic roots. It is sad to note that today a Hindu Swami has to resort to quoting an English author to explain an ancient and older Indian epic like the Ramayana to gain creditability. In fact it should be the other way around. We take pride in calling Kalidasa the ‘Shakespeare of India’ though Kalidasa is older by centuries! Tragically Indians have physically gained independence from Britain 60 years ago but we are still mentally colonized today. Warm regards).

Comments:  Hi, Thanks to your effort, I added so much to my learning about my own culture. In spite of having always lived in India there was little interest inculcated in these things as I was growing up. Of course like all Hindu parents, mine dragged me to the temples to pray as well, but I hardly understood the significance of any rituals. I would say we are a spiritually and culturally illiterate lot. I have attended both convent schools and schools run by Hindu management, the difference when I look back, is how in the convents, religion and education are like two faces of the same coin. They have catechism classes for Christian students and the college I attended even forced Non-Christian students to attend Holy mass on the convocation day or the last day of college. On the other hand we rarely have any Sanskrit study, Veda and Bhagvadgita studies in the Hindu run schools; for this very reason it is a shame that I know more of Bible than the Bhagvadgita. Well, India is "secular" you see. The best way we can overcome cultural imperialism, in my opinion is to make our next generation secure in GOD, secure in Hindu culture and traditions. I would definitely bring up my child to be both spiritually and culturally educated along with other essential degree, and to do so I would have to lead by example and in this context I applaud efforts such as yours.

(Editor’s Note: Thank you very much for your kind words of appreciation for this website and sharing your wise insights. As you have rightly pointed out that it is shameful that most Hindus/Indians know more about the Bible, the Greek thinkers and Shakespeare than they know about the Bhagavad Gita, Ved Vyas or Kalidas. This is because our left leaning educational institutions, our mentally colonized media and our inept Government are ashamed of and have an allergy to anything remotely Hindu or Hinduism. Utter or write anything positive about Hinduism or India and you are instantly and roundly branded as being a fundamentalist. This is what an absurd twisted “secular” means in India. Meanwhile most of the Indian middle class has a tunnel vision and is therefore stuck in a permanent groove. Right from the start Indian children are inculcated to follow a certain, fixed and unoriginal formula (like most Bollywood movie formula) in life. English Convent education, then becoming either an Engineer/Doctor (no other profession is respectable or will do), clamoring to go abroad for higher education (preferably Ivy League schools) and then seek that much prized and tantalizing Green Card. These gin and tonic drinking ‘brown sahibs’ seem totally oblivious to the fact that our Hindu religious, historical, linguistic and cultural institutions, monuments and symbols are being systematically destroyed by a fake version of secularism and an imported spiritually bankrupt cultural imperialism from the West. Warm regards).

Comments:  Dear Ms Sushama Londhe I chanced upon your site and am impressed with the range and sophistication of the contents. Though there are quite a few sites on Hinduism, most of them are crowded with advertisements. Your site is more of like an offering. In the Indian tradition wisdom and knowledge are not sold but passed to all qualified seekers. I am very happy that you live up to these traditions. It is the duty of all of us who are heirs to the oldest and greatest religious tradition in the world to see that it survives and flourishes. In this age when other religious beliefs claim there is one book and one prophet and that everything else is meaningless, we have to ensure that the steady wisdom and the limitless love of the great sages of the Vedic tradition survive to guide a distressed planet. With love and regards Bala.

(Editor’s Note: Thank you very much for your fine sentiments of encouragement for this website and for sharing your thoughts regarding Hinduism and the urgent need to continue nourishing and thus preserving this stream of sacred knowledge handed down to us by our wise and enlightened Vedic seers. Your entries to this guestbook are truly appreciated. Warm regards).

Comments:  Really this is a great effort from you making this website. I really appreciate you. As we know that Hinduism is the best religion in this world and Hindus are the most calm, soft and helpful people. (I don’t say that others are not). In this world few people believe that God is in any shape and some people think that God is a blank and you have to imagine that. Hinduism is the only religion that says God is every where. It is in you, it is in me it is in every living thing and we believe that tree, plants are also living things that's why we use do puja to them. Thanks.

(Editor’s Note: Thank you very much for your kind words of appreciation for this website and for sharing your thoughts on Hinduism. You have correctly pointed out that Hinduism is the only religion that believes that the Divine resides within all living creatures; hence we have reverence for all including plant and animals life. Warm regards).

Comments:  I once read an interesting bit about The Ramayana. That when Bharata asks for Rama's Padukas, it does not imply his footwear as a mark of veneration. In Sanskrit Paduka means a quarter implying that he wanted that much of the kingdom that Rama covered or conquered. This brings to our attention the fact that the popular versions are incorrect and one needs to read the real and original translations. Also, Arabia was following Vedic religion before Islam and therefore Prophet Mohammed may have similar beliefs but that still does not make Islam a religion! Mohammed was a conqueror and his mental condition was under question. Just because Hitler used the Eagle, Swastika and Cross symbols therefore does that make it his religion and thus similar to Hinduism, Christianity or America? Psychopaths are known to be very intelligent and manipulative beings with many weak minded followers. I would recommend articles by Aditi Chaturvedi and Sita Ram Goel which are available on the internet regarding this.

Comments:  Dear Sushma ji regards. I would like to give answer to Mr. Ashishs question regarding veg and Non veg and Shikar with your permission. Vedas promote non violence a desire to kill. It talks of soul; a soul as per deeds takes different bodies under the Divine Justice Of formless Omniscient God. Therefore if a soul who has taken humans body if do bad deeds can take bodies of animals to face the result of its karmas. Once it has finished with the result of deeds God again gives him the chance through human body to do pious deeds and achieve moksha. As per Vedas only those animals are to be killed are endangering human lives or have turned man eater, this is called Shikar. Couple of times it has been mentioned in the Shastras that in jungle animals used to live in peace with our seers and mantradrishta rishis, this was because even a soul encased in animal body can recognize a God realized soul & they obey his commands. Often during times of Swami Nityananda of Ganeshpuri, people have seen him playing with dangerous cobras etc. Once a cobra writhed in pain approached him for help and he relieved him of his pain. Once when he was sitting with his devotees in Ganeshpuri a fierce tiger came and put his pawns on his shoulders to seek his blessings. Swami Nityananda later told to his devotees that he was seeking human birth after leaving this body so he wanted his blessings. Lord Rama is described as Veda nisht and follower of Vedas in Valmiki Ramayana means he used to follows Vedas in life in totality. The astanga yoga which has come from vthe Vedas i.e Samaveda through which our seers used to realize God and after realization of God they used to Get 16 siddhis, its first basis is ahinsa i.e one of niyam-yam viz to get free from desire to kill. So it is contradictory that Lord Rama must be killing animals to enjoy senses as he was a God realised astanga yogi who has controlled indriyan and senses, mind. Further to interpret Ramayana you should know Vedas, follow astanga yoga and be a realized yogi, then we should interpret Ramayana and Mahabharat as till Mahabhara tour culture of world was Vedic. Many people have fabricated false stories of Lord Rama and Krishna as they neither Know Vedas, nor do astanga yoga to realise God and interpret our scriptures literally. Both Ramayana and Mahabharat are written by mantradrishta rishis like Valmiki and Vyas ji who were contemporaries of Lord Rama and Krishna. Further because of vilified agenda of British it was false and knowingly misinterpreted to instill on us inferiority complex and show we were backward and savage which was not, they wanted to destroy our ancient culture of Vedas, so they propagated Brahmins promoted casteism etc. and implemented British education system the result of which now we are reaping in India in terms of corruption, disrespect to elders, guru, lie, materialism etc. If you have further doubts you can ask your doubts to Swami Ramswarup ji at www.vedmandir.com. He has tremendous knowledge of Vedas with his spiritual realization.

Comments:  Dear Madam, First of all many, many congrats for having such an authentic website. It instills confidence and pride among Hindus to know that our ancestors were so superior than the so called modern/developed Western world. Congrats again for your research and efforts. We really owe to you and require work like yours to show the world what we were and also to put the pride in the younger generation of Indians. I have one doubt. I shall be grateful if you or anyone can clear.. We Hindus are told not to eat meat especially cow but is it true that in Rig Veda there are hymns dealing with cow and horse sacrifice (gomedh)..Also In Valmiki Ramayan too Bhagwan Shri Ram is depicted having shikar (non veg)..Can you comment? Many people amongst Hindus like Keralites and Kashmiri Pandits give these quotes to justify their non veg habits. Even cow eating is done in Kerala..So what do you think was non veg an integral part of Vedic Hindus? If yes then why we follow veg now? I shall be very thankful if you reply. Warm regards, Ashish.

(Editor’s Note: Thank you for your kind words of appreciation for this website as well as your query regarding meat eating in Ancient India. The English translations of our Sanskrit scriptures were done by biased and deeply prejudiced Western scholars during the British Raj. Tragically it was the British Sanskritists and educators in India, during the 1700 and 1800's who first portrayed Vedic literature and culture as something barbaric, inferior, and obscene in order to perpetuate their colonial hold over India. This makes their translations of the Vedas highly questionable and dubious. After Independence our own brand of Marxist Indian historians have fared no better. They too have restored to systematic falsification of our history due to their own ideology and contempt for anything Hindu and Indian. I am not a Sanskrit scholar and therefore I cannot comment on this issue but maybe some of the readers to this website will be able to provide the necessary answer. In the meantime I suggest that you contact a Sanskrit scholar in India or write to the editor of Hinduism Today with your important and puzzling query. Hope this helps. Warm regards).

Comments:  Dear Madam regards. We as Hindus have still have doubts if ever Lord Rama existed or not. As per Sage Valmiki Ramayana Lord Rama existed in 7th manavantan 27th churyugi, Dwapar Yug, which comes to almost 1crore years nearly (little more than that). All the places visited by him still exist in India and Sri Lanka. On 17 and 18 Jan 2008 all the TV channels like IBN7, Live India, AAj tak were telecasting a CD released by Govt of Srilanka, showing proofs of existence of Lanka, footmarks of Hanuman ji, Rama, Drona Parvat, Sita Kund etc, even they have shown the Pushpak Vimana and air field used by him, the surang used by him. This value of information may help you as proof. Further when we encounter Bible, Islam there is always venom against other religions. In Christianity Bible was written after Jesus was crucified and left Bethlehem, by his followers, they were not mantradrishta samadhist yogi like Rishi Valmiki ji who wrote Ramayana and Maharishi Vyasa who wrote The Mahabharata, the writers were not Brahmaleen. Further in the course of history Bibles text was altered many times by Roman and other Emperors to satisfy their ego and imperialist approach. So Jesus was portrayed as Jealous and belittled. That land never had any great yogi after Jesus. Where ever such things are there it is written by people of intellect and mind and other vices of human mind. Further Islam in the light of archaeological discoveries regarding prevalence of Vedic culture prior to Islam which you can find at www.archaeologynet.online I can say Islam is the misconstrued Translation of Vedas. Prophet Mohammad had the knowledge of Vedas which is reflected by contemporary writers. However he was not a realized soul. So spirituality part i.e. Samaveda, Yoga, Guru Shishya parampara is not mentioned, because this knowledge in full was always present in India and was propagated by our seers to entire world, as they believe in universal brotherhood as they were God realized and away from human vices of difference, sectarianism etc. Further in the shrine o f Kaaba a Shiva linga is there. There are many things which they follow as we as Hindus follow. Until now age of Vedas and earth is one Arab 96 crore 8 lakhs 53 thousands & 2 years. This is 7th Manvanter & 28 Chaturyugi & the present Kaliyug has passed its time of 5002 years. Vedas talk of formless, omnipresent, God, he is the only God in whom yogis dwell and meditate and Islam calls this God as Allah. Islam has come in 3rd century only, becos by then idol worship had come due to lack of knowledge of Vedas, and same was the case in India too post Mahabharata war. Followers of Islam say it has every knowledge, but I say the knowledge of Astanga yoga, true worship of God i.e. Yajna and yoga is not there in Islam, this is dealt in Vedas by Samaveda.Prophet mohd also could not write becos he was not aware of it as in India since time immemorial rishis, lord rama, Krishna were doing Yajen (Havan) and yoga, Gita too says best form of worship of God is havan and astanga yoga. In fact Vedas have the knowledge of straw to Brahma. Therefore Islam is the Arabic translation of Vedas. Many verses of Upanishad are lifted and put there as it is. So dear friends I only say your Vedas, Ramayana, Mahabharat there is lot of myth propagated around them to belittle us by Britishers who were infused by superiority complex and they could not digest that we were culturally superior to them. So under a hideous motive they had instituted British education system to destroy the culture of Vedas, Gurukul system, Yoga and same is continuing till today. Further Max Muller and other Western Biased scholar only have translated Vedas as text by there knowledge of Sanskrit. As they were not yogis and not realized souls they were devoid of spiritual insight and its actual meaning which a yogis gets in the last stages of samadhi when he realizes this formless creator and Vedas are realized in heart. Hanuman was not monkey he is described by Valmiki ji as a Brahmin means who knows Vedas and has realized God. He was from Vanar Prajati. It is common sense a monkey can not learn Vedas. Further in last 1000 years we have not seen a monkey transforming into man. His mother was Ajaneya and father was Matang Muni. Now it is up to us proud Sanatan Dharmis to propagate the Vedas and yoga and our real Knowledge. Sushma ji you are doing wonderful work through this website. I have forwarded the biographies of all the siddha yogis to you who taken birth within 500 years recently, which if you put on this website will justify all my points which I have mentioned here. Jai Hind!

(Editor’s Note: Thank you very much for sharing your thoughts and wisdom on the Vedas, The Ramayana and The Mahabharata as well as the inaccuracy done by biased Western scholars during the British Raj. Comments:  What are the steps taken to avoid Conversion from Hinduism to Christianity / Islam? The main problem in South India is the Casteism, especially Dalits who converts themselves into Christianity due to Untouchability. Do any of our Hindu organizations take any steps regarding the same? Are there any details / surveys? If so, where could I get those?

(Editor’s Note: The Abuse of caste is a weakness which has developed over centuries within Hinduism that is being skillfully manipulated by devious and unscrupulous wealthy Christian missionaries to win converts and play the number game for Christianity. This is not spirituality but pure commerce. Comments:  Most Hindus when dealing with problem of Missionaries and conversion make a fatal mistake. They think that Christianity as a religion is very good and only missionary people are cunning people. They think Jesus was on par with Lord Ram or Lord Krishna but these are far from truth. First of all modern scholars doubt the historicity of Jesus. Please read my article "Myth of Jesus"- http://www.ivarta.com/columns/OL_070316.htm Secondly, the inspiration and the motivation for proselytization of Christian doctrine and its bible and its prophet Jesus. The Jesus of Christian faith was no God or anything. In the Bible he says -"'Think not that I am come to send peace on earth; I came not to send peace, but a sword."(Matthew, 10/34) "The image of Jesus being spreader of peace is not true. Biblical god is a jealous, intolerant God and asks Christians to torture the Non-believers just like Islam. And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months; and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion, when he striketh a man. (Revelation, 9/5). But thus shall ye deal with them; ye shall destroy their altars, and break down their images, and cut down their groves, and burn their graven images with fire. (Deuteronomy, 7/5). If a man abides not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.(John, 15/6)so, it is very important for us to know that.. The enemy is not Christian missionaries as such but the Christian religion.

(Editor’s Note: Thank you for sharing your thoughts and information about Christianity and the Bible and the problem it poses for devout Hindus worldwide. Hindus need to read and understand other world scriptures as well as compare it with their own traditions to grasp the sugar coated hidden motives of Christian missionaries and the organization/ governments who sponsor and fund their activities in India. Christian missionaries are very dangerous to the survival of Hinduism since they have clout, the wealth and communications in their power to destroy Hindus and their culture. Christianity and Islam do not have a reputation for tolerance and respect for other religions. Christians and Muslims have had a historical and magnificent obsesseion to convert all to their way of thinking and thus not honoring pluralism in approaching the Divine. Today the Indian middle class is so pathetically mesmerized with all things Western and have become so materialistically inclined that they have become oblivious to Hinduism’s impending destruction in today’s spiritually intolerant world. Warm regards).

Comments:  Respected Mam, with utter grief and shock I am writing this entry. On dated 24/12./2007 a mob led by the Christians attacked Hindu - Swami Laxamanandaji in Khandhamal district. He himself, driver and body guard all are seriously injured. After that right wing party/organisation called fro Orissa Bandh on 25-12-2007. Again and again these Christian missionaries are using their venomous attack on our peace loving people. They have polluted our culture. Even in Pune I stopped 3-4 guys to attend daily Christian prayer. And also clarified the greatness of Hinduism. They have started to realize the same. They just get diverted by the Christian Dalals. In Pune, Viniyard Church – Dhapodi are doing all these nonsense. They are large glow sign poster every where you find in Pune. Nobody is objecting on this. My blood is just boiling to see this type of Christian propaganda thing against Hindus. But I am helpless.

(Editor’s Note: Thank you for sharing the news and the nefarious Christian conversion activities in Orissa and also in Pune, Maharashtra. Christian missionaries would be very happy to see Hinduism end up as a museum piece in the future. In its long history of spiritual intolerance the West has successfully destroyed ancient religious traditions around the world in the name of the one jealous Abrahamic God. Today only the Vedic traditions of India stand in their way for spiritual dominance. Warm regards).

Comments:  Our Glorious Past, though so vast in expanse, is contained in our minds , till this very moment and is being added up, as the present is becoming past .Whatever , we have experienced / achieved / imagined , for example : The ever expanding universe, the scientists, still researching on this subject, is within the realm of our mind . That, which is, beyond the realms of our mind, is the 4th axis, Time. We mortals succumb to time. GOD / TO WHOM WE BELIEVE, are immortals / witness, & are present in this 4th axis (Albert Einstein’s imagined this). They are always there. Every action (physical, mental), by us is having a result and we get the same, in return, as our future. We, got to learn from our past, improve upon our actions, so as to reap better harvest. The greatest tool, we have in our minds, is willpower. The ultimate benefactor to us, only, when a righteous / positive / goal is chosen by us. This goal should be chosen after learning from our experiences / past. Choosing the right goal for us, after analyzing the past, requires wisdom. This wisdom / right intellect, everybody is having in the form of inner voice / conscience. How much, one follows, is the freedom, we have. The conscience is that dog, which only barks (warns) but can't stop us from doing wrong. Intelligent are those, who learn from others experiences, Average are those, who learn from their own experiences and foolish are those, who don't even learn from their own experiences. This is an old saying.. No where GOD, should be read always as, Now here God. We are at our leisure, doing things as we want, but very minutely, when observed, what ever is happening, is for good only. Ultimately, everything ends up in The Almighty God. The darkness itself is the reason to! Understand light. What is good, without bad? What is day, without night? Everything goes on, in perfect harmony, always and for times to come. The equilibrium / balance are maintained by the governing forces as per the rules of Lord.

Comments:  Dear Sushma, Like many others even I was delighted to go through the vast collation of information on Hinduism. I would like put a point of my opinion on caste system. It has become a serious problem that should be addressed more seriously than AIDS or anything. Even party's like Lok Satta which claim "non-partisan people's movement for better governance" lends their hands for movements based on Caste. Any measure the Government takes does not go to the actual needy people. In fact all the measures and slogans the politicians and many privileged people raise looks as though they are encouraging the evils of caste system. It is encouraging ill feelings between the citizens. May be I am going out of the context of this website, but you must be certainly having lot of groups with whom you interact. So if you agree with me at least 30% please do have discussions and anything that people like you can do. You have such awesome collection I am sure you have sufficient funds, people and connections. Hope you continue the good work for the good of mankind. Lokaa Samastaasukhinobhavanthu. Rama.

(Editor’s Note: Thank you very much for your gracious words of appreciation for this website and for sharing your thoughts on the abuse of caste system and the mismanagement of funds by corrupt politicians in India. This website started out as a non-commercial hobby/personal spiritual interest and as such there are no monetary funds coming in or connections to anybody influential. Our spiritual seeking ancient Indian rishis (sages) in their infinite wisdom did not see it fit to patent knowledge and following in the same spirit of these early pathmakers, this website is merely meant to be a free and major resource of knowledge and information for Open minded and tolerant spiritual seekers of all faiths and cultures around the globe. Warm regards).
